Ruby Fernandes is the Branch Administrator and Senior Wealth Advisor Assistant at Portage Wealth, where she plays a central role in both client service and the smooth operation of the practice. She works closely with Associate Portfolio Manager Nik Zabaljac to support clients through onboarding, account management, and transactions, while also overseeing the day-to-day efficiency of the branch. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ruby brings both depth of knowledge and a steady commitment to client care.
Before joining Portage Wealth, Ruby was part of the management team at Raymond James Ltd.’s flagship branch, where she was responsible for supporting investment advisor associates and overseeing branch operations. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Commerce.

Originally from Kenya, Ruby moved to Canada at 18 to pursue her education. Today, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the rink watching her children skate and play hockey. A morning person with a love for fitness, she also makes time for workouts as her favorite way to recharge.
