Kristian Borean, CFA®, CPA
Chief Investment Officer
Kristian is Chief Investment Officer at Portage Wealth, where he works alongside Darren to set the firm’s investment philosophy, and is responsible for asset allocation decisions and portfolio construction across Portage’s strategies. He leads the firm’s internal equity research and oversees external product due diligence across all asset classes.
Kristian joined Portage Wealth in 2022, bringing with him extensive accounting and investment expertise. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designations, as well as a Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Schulich School of Business.
Curious by nature and detail-oriented, Kristian has a passion for exploring how businesses operate and how markets evolve. Clients benefit from his ability to distill complex analysis into strategies that provide confidence and clarity, helping them stay focused on long-term goals.
Outside of work, Kristian competes in a variety of sports, enjoys traveling and discovering new foods, and is always on the hunt for a good book recommendation.
